Our story
Auto Repair Salinas Trusts by Word of Mouth
Lopez Automotive has built its reputation the old fashioned way, one honest repair at a time. Customers come to us for everything from routine maintenance to tricky diagnostic work on trucks like the Tacoma, and they keep coming back because we tell them the truth about what their car actually needs.
When we get something wrong, we make it right without being asked twice. One customer brought a car in after an early misdiagnosis, and we corrected it on our own, no pressure required, because that is simply how we do business.
We also take on the repairs other shops turn away, including smog checks on older vehicles that many shops will not test. Whether it is a daily driver or a classic, we work efficiently and keep our prices fair.
- Corrects mistakes without being asked twice
- Smog checks for classic & modern vehicles
- Fast turnaround on repairs
- Referred by repeat customers to their friends and family
What customers say
“This place was great. Great owner and great work. Really took time to help me out and even went out of his way to make sure it was done before my move. Highly recommend this place. Trustworthy and good prices as well.”
“100% honest. A misdiagnosis in the early assessment, then made it right afterwards totally on their own, not from any pressure. They don't have to do that, I wouldn't have known otherwise.”
“My partner and I went to get our car smog checked (Volvo 1983) and everywhere else we reached out to were either too expensive or wouldn't or couldn't work on her because of how old she is. Thankfully these guys were able to and were so sweet the entire time. I recommend coming here for any smog check, and if I was planning to stay in Salinas I would be going to them for any and all repairs. 10/10 would come back again.”
